Foody was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. After graduating from Mumford High School he served two years in the United States Army where he was awarded The Purple Heart, Army Commendation Medal and Honorable Discharge. Foody Studied at Wayne County Community College and then pursued a position in the field broadcasting. He has enjoyed more than 30 years as a professional broadcaster. His radio career began with WGPR. He later joined the Bell Broadcasting Company WCHB Radio in the Programming and Music Department while maintaining his on air position as a radio personality. After WCHB Foody embarked upon another side of the industry when he accepted a position as Manager of Marketing and Promotions MCA, Infinity and ABC Records. It wasn't long before Foody was recruited by CBS/Epic & Associated Record Labels to join they're Marketing, Promotions, Advertising and Artist Development Divisions. After several years Foody returned to his first love radio in the mid-80's he was asked to join the radio station that started his career as On-Air Personality and Assistant Program Director. He was later promoted to Program Director. In the year 2000 Foody was asked by Greater Media to join the morning show to produce and host his own Sunday Radio Program, on "The Groove" 105.9 FM. In 2001Foody was asked by Clearchannel Broadcasting WMXD Mix 92.3 FM Radio to produce and host a program on Sunday Night "Cruisin with Foody" was reborn. Throughout his career, he has received numerous awards, proclamations, and certificates from State of Michigan, the City of Detroit and many Community Organizations. Foody has produced several music CDs for local artist for, United Artists, Capital EMI, Fantasy and Ichiban Records labels. He is also a songwriter and an accomplished singer. A lover of all genres of music, some say he is a walking history book and a "Yoda of Soul". There isn't very much that he doesn't know about music and artists. Foody enjoys boxing, football and reading. His motto is "live and let live" He believes we should understand yourself first...then those around us. Foody enjoys God's country and all of God's children. His on air show, "Cruising with Foody" is an unforgettable musical journey. He is ecstatic that Detroit has made this show their number one choice on Sunday nights. On any given Sunday night from 7:00 PM until Midnight you can hear him say, "You're cruisin' with Foody and I wouldn't have it any other way. If I pleased just one person during the course of the day, I'm satisfied." While cruising with Foody the music make evoke a smile, a few tears, or a trip back in time...but no matter what; it will be an enjoyable journey.
